Travels with Frog Videos

Ft Defiance

Ft Defiance.... Not a whole lot left of the "park" but to stand in a  spot with so much history behind it is cool. If you ever get close, get  the history out, read up on the fort and all that passed by there.

Butterfield Museum

Off the beaten path, by several miles....but oh so worth the drive to go see this gem!

Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park

Took a drive through Rocky Mountains Nat'l Park. Pretty drive! One  note...you'll hear that you have to go online recreation.gov to get a  "time" to enter the Park, and yes you do if you try to go between 9am -  2pm. But if you plan to get there prior to 9am OR after 2pm Mountain  Time....you do not have to get a "permit reservation" time...and the  reservation will cost you $2.

Ft Wallace, KS

I am starting to stop at the little museums along the Forgotten Roads in  the small towns to try to share a small piece of what America is a  really like instead of the 15 minutes cities, fast paced to lifestyle  & all the "ailments" that comes with this hurried pace lifestyle.  Slow down and take the time to see what is close to you that will allow  you to "smell the roses"!

This was a very worthwhile stop! It looks small, but it is so full of interesting history!

September 20, 2024

Just a little project for a friend!

Old Town Museum, Burlington, CO

A stop that is worth taking the time to drive a little out of the way to see!

Lily & the Repair Shop!

When living out here "off grid", you need to always be prepared for  "things to happen"...when you least expect it. And always remember to  keep up to date with you regular maintenance! It can be a major step in  the direction of not having issues as you travel!

Lily is repaired, two bearings, two seals, as much of the metal shavings  cleaned out as was possible without pulling the entire housing unit out  of her! So on down the road we are about to roll!

Fossil Butte Nat'l Monument

The next you are passing by a road that you have often thought "I wonder what is down there".....take a few minutes and go see!!

Season at Sunny Gulch is coming fast! But was a good season!

The summer camping season is coming to an end! Has been a good season overall. But I'm buttoned up and will be heading "South East" in just a few days!

In Idaho at Sunny Gulch CG

Got settled in here at Sunny Gulch Campground. It hasn't changed at all, a few less trees due to storms, but overall just as I left it! Season startd out well, except it snowed on me 5 times before May was over! June was slow, but it finally picked up. Then on July 12 a fire was found on the Bench Lake trail and Redfish lake area was evauated! I was full for 19 straight nights, currently I am empty!!

Arizona Winter 2024

Just wanted to let you see a few minutes of the areas that I spent a few  months in this Winter! It was a good stay. Temperatures stayed in my  "optimum" range for the most part! It is now time to head for Idaho for  the summer! Hope to see you there, at the Sawtooth Mtns National  Recreation Area! ck out this great video

Lake Havasu City, AZ

Just a quick look at a couple of the things to see in the Lake Havasu City, AZ area.

Learning to "fly"!

I am just trying to get a bit more proficient in my ability to fly my drone! I want folks to see the areas where I camp. Get a real feel for just how far "off-grid" I try to go!

CwF Knorr Chicken One Pot Wonder!

Wanted to share this "One Pot Wonder" meal with you. It is really nice  to make up a meal using only one pot/pan that will feed you for at least  3-4 meals!  And if you "shop around", maybe look around is a  better way to say it,  you can find things that do not have a lot of ingredients that can't be  pronounced that make your eating habits more on the healthy side! It is also, overall, more filling and it can also be a lot easier on  your budget for off-grid life!
